Shaked Sebag – Dancer, Choreographer, School Director – Ramat Beit Shemesh, Israel
Born in Israel and raised in Arizona, Shaked has been dancing since she was 3 years old and has never stopped. After becoming baalat teshuva in her first year of college in Arizona and finishing her degree in education for the arts, she made aliyah and soon after opened the RBSDMA together with Jezliah Villarreal in 2010. This is her 5th year running the academy as the solo Creative Director and she is so honored to serve the community in such a special way and finds great purpose in providing a place for girls and women to grow. The academy holds classes in Jazz, Hip hop, ballet, lyrical/contemporary, choreography, and voice from ages 4 and up, and serves about 300 students yearly. Shaked produces high-caliber shows annually for the RBSDMA, she and her students have performed around Israel and have also shared the stage with some of the most talented female musical artists including Judith Gerzi, Jezliah, Ariella Zeitlin, Miriam Hershkop, Bracha Jaffe, and Chaya Kogan. They were featured in several kol isha music videos, and OF COURSE Shaked still loves sharing her passion with her students in the studio. Spreading the love of dance and music and inspiring girls and women through the arts is her joy.
