Emuna Bracha (Valentina) Recchia – Dancer, Composer, Writer, Director, Choreographer – Israel
Emuna Bracha (Valentina) Recchia was born in Italy in 1983. She wrote her first poetry and short stories at the age of 12. Subsequently she devoted herself to the study of dance in various schools, including the Broadway Dance Center in New York.
As a result of the experience of living in New York in 2008, she wrote her first musical (Le Favole Nel 2009) that was performed in its native region (Basilicata). She wrote the story, directed it, and created the choreographies and the scenographies with the help of an Italian artist, George Sanrocco, who became her husband.
She then wrote and directed two more musicals. (“The Masks” and “Gog and Magog”). She then moved to Florence, where in 2013 she wrote and directed her last musical. In 2012 she published her first novel, Seduta in Riva al Mare (video book on Facebook).
Currently she lives in Israel where she has completed her second book, The Third World War/em>. She produced a show with a group of dancers of Kibbutz Migdal Oz, against war and for peace.
In 2017 she had her choreographic debut in Israel as one of the choreographers of the Raise Your Spirits show Ruth & Naomi in the Fields of Bethlehem, in which she choreographed “Land of Plenty,” “African Dance” and “Land of Plenty Reprise.”
